Most come from the property, then he adds his personal touch, enhancing each stick’s natural beauty. Others are carved with woodsman faces and designs by local craftsmen. The more decorative walking sticks boast a medallion designed by the Dauby’s and cast a the foundry in Grandview, Indiana.
Sangria Mix We carry both red and white sangria mixes from "Finest Call," bottled in New Albany, IN. We mix one bottle of our white wine with half that much mix and add a cup or so of frozen fruit! It is delicious and a favorite for sweeter wine sippers! White Sangria Recipe: 1 bottle Blue Heron dry white wine, 1 1/2 cups Finest Call White Sangria Mix, 1 cup frozen fruit (peach, mango, pineapple, strawberry. Mix in carafe, refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Red Sangria Recipe: 1 bottle Blue Heron dry white or rose' wine, 1 1/2 cups Finest Call Red Sangria Mix, 1 cup frozen berry blend fruit (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry). Mix in carafe, refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Unused Mix keeps well in the refrigerator until you are ready for the next batch! Blue Heron Steak Sauce This is a favorite family steak sauce with our own private label. Their staff says they love it with steaks, brats and hamburgers. SOLD OUT- HOPEFULLY IN STOCK IN SEPTEMBER 2020 Skinner’s Salve We are recent distributors of a product called “Skinner’s Salve“, a topical ointment that is especially good for stuffy noses, cuts, scrapes and bruises. We’ve found that it stops the itch of mosquito and tick bites as well as provides relief from poison ivy. Local Art Area artists and craftsmen frequently display and sell their work at Blue Heron and we are always looking for other local and regional artists to showcase. Currently we have sculptures by Greg Harris of Tell City, pottery by Nita Claise of Tell City, paintings and drawings by pwner Lynn Dauby and Laurie Dinkel. In addition, Jon Fuchs of Evansville has watercolor prints gracing the walls as well as prints on sale.
